Members of the Association of Defense Communities benefit from a growing list of services that promote information sharing, discussion and knowledge.

Member Directory

Members have the capability to search a database filled with ADC member organizations and individuals and download a copy of the membership directory.

Conference and Event Discounts

Members are allowed to attend all ADC events throughout the year at a significantly reduced rate.

Publications & Presentations

Our publications program covers the gamut from breaking news to formal journal articles. In addition, search through our conference presentations archive to download copies of sessions covering a wide range of issues.

Private Sector Services Consultation

ADC can provide members with a comprehensive list of ADC member private sector services providers, tailored according to the services you require. With almost 300 companies, ADC private sector members represent the leading companies actively supporting America’s Defense Communities.

The 360 Marketplace, featured in our weekly newsletter, Defense Communities 360, is updated continuously on our website. This newsletter features job ads and RFPs.

Federal Directory

Search through a directory of government officials in the Defense Department, U.S. Congress, and other federal agencies involved in supporting defense communities.

Councils & Committees

Interact with peers, learn about special issues, and help shape current and future Association of Defense Communities (ADC) programs by joining one of the ADC Membership Councils or Advisory Committees. ADC Membership Council and Advisory Committee participation is open to all current ADC Members.  Each council/committee is chaired by a member(s) and has an ADC Board of Directors liaison.

Local Redevelopment Authority (LRA) Directors Council

This ADC membership council brings together LRA Directors from closure communities to create a forum for interaction and idea sharing. The group actively advises ADC on programs designed for LRA Directors and BRAC communities. State Advisors Council

The State Advisors Council is composed of state level officials who oversee efforts to support defense communities and promote defense-related activity in their state. Council Chair: Mark Needham, Special Assistant to the Governor, Office of the Kentucky Governor, Frankfort, KY

Defense Energy Council

The Defense Energy Council is comprised of energy industry experts who will explore new opportunities in defense energy partnerships and build awareness of best practices for these projects while looking to advance solutions for current energy challenges. Military Family & Veterans Council

The MFV Council is comprised of local and state community leaders, and industry partners who will work to identify best practices that address military family issues and promote defense community efforts to develop a safe landing zone for transitioning veterans.

Awards Advisory Committee

This committee appointed annually by the ADC Board of Directors is responsible for reviewing awards submissions and selecting winners. Program Advisory Committee

This committee, composed of select ADC members, provides input on the association’s educational events and training. Federal Outreach Advisory Committee

Publications Advisory Committee
