2011 Winter Forum
Welcome
Thank you to everyone who joined us at ADC’s 2011 Winter Forum
February 14-16 in Military City U.S.A. – San Antonio.
This year’s Forum was redesigned to provide unique educational opportunities for each of ADC’s membership segments. This year’s Forum features two simultaneous events: ADC’s National Forum on Installation Innovation, Efficiency & Partnership and the ADC Trends in Base Redevelopment Symposium. While the core of programming is distinct for each track, both convene together for “super” sessions on the budget and DoD priorities, as well as networking opportunities.
ADC Winter Forum: The National Forum on Installation Innovation, Efficiency, & Partnership
The message is clear — there is a new fiscal reality permeating Washington and the Pentagon. The difficult debate has begun on priorities and how to cut costs without harming support for the warfighter. The impact of these decisions could be profound for defense communities and installations including mission reductions, downsizing by defense manufacturers, personnel/contractor cuts and less support for installation operations.
As defense communities face this new challenge, there is also an opportunity to showcase and expand innovative models and partnerships that promote installation efficiency.
ADC Winter Forum: Trends in Base Redevelopment Symposium
ADC’s Trends in Base Redevelopment Symposium tackles the important issues facing communities in the midst of transforming former DoD facilities. From pending budget cuts to new regulations, the slow pace of economic recovery, and new challenges in environmental cleanup, the issues facing redevelopment projects are significant. The Symposium not only provides you with the latest information on key issues and trends, but the event also is designed to provide feedback that serves as a basis for ADC’s advocacy/policy efforts and related services throughout the year.
