JLUS Examines Mobility Issues at New Jersey Joint Base
- May 2, 2011
The draft version of the joint land use study (JLUS) for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst will include recommendations for reducing traffic congestion as well as auto accidents within a five-mile perimeter of the central New Jersey installation.
The firm that is preparing the study looked at traffic counts and accident data to project road conditions and capacity in 2015 and 2035. The mobility analysis is one component of the JLUS, which previously produced a communications manual for the military and the base’s host communities, reported PhillyBurbs.com.
The draft version of the study is scheduled to be released today, with the final report slated to be completed May 31.
