New Tool Introduced to Aid Spousal Employment at Two Army Posts

A Durham, N.C.-based firm will be launching its career-building platform at Fort Bragg, N.C., and Fort Hood, Texas, to connect military spouses with information on careers, education and job openings.
Pipeline, developed by Futures Inc., offers a comprehensive overview of nearly 1,000 careers identified by the Department of Labor, according to the firm. After individuals find a career they want to pursue, they can see a list of associated skills to help them determine skills gaps. To address these gaps, Pipeline maps educational opportunities to careers, helping spouses get the training they need to succeed in their chosen career. Pipeline’s automated matching technology ensures that spouses will be invited to apply to opportunities that match their skills.
Pipeline also allows military spouses to connect with one another. When a life-changing military event such as enlistment, deployment, or separation occurs, the online tool provides a place where they can reach out to others who have shared the same experience, receiving support and advice, the company said.
