Programs & Services
The Association of Defense Communities (ADC) is the leading national organization supporting defense communities. ADC’s Advisory Services brings the support, knowledge, and experience of our membership to your community through a variety of fee-based assistance programs:
Community Site Visit
Bring the nation’s leading experts to your community for a multi-day site visit and planning workshop. You identify the issues, provide input to help design the project, and ADC puts together an expert team of members to bring to your community. The expert team spends several days conducting interviews and research before presenting its initial findings to the community. The site visit is followed by a detailed final report.
For communities facing closure, education and information are essential. Help your community understand the process, policies, and possibilities by hosting an ADC Workshop. Workshops can be customized to meet the interests of your community and are facilitated by leading experts in the field of redevelopment. Potential workshop topics include:
- Redevelopment process
- Community organizing/planning
- Creating a successful LRA
- Innovations in redevelopment
- Attracting private investment
- Community-driven public sale
- Dealing with environmental issues
Redevelopment Project Tour
To truly understand the base redevelopment process, sometimes you have to see it for yourself. With access to a national network of redevelopment projects, ADC can help make that happen through a customized project tour. ADC will help identify projects to visit, schedule the tours and briefings, and coordinate all the details.
Looking for a speaker for a community, regional, or state event? Tap into the resources of ADC to find a speaker to fit your needs. ADC will help identify a speaker, tailor the presentation to meet your needs, and coordinate all the details for the event. From base redevelopment to community-installation partnerships, ADC has a speaker for you.
