In Other News: Local Officials Propose Creating a Training Center at Fort Hamilton

Leaders in Brooklyn and military officials should collaborate to establish a cybersecurity and first-responder training facility at Fort Hamilton, New York City’s only active military installation, according to an op-ed by New York Rep. Dan Donovan  (R) and Andrew Hoan, outgoing president and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. “The base can be a hub to educate a generation of cybersecurity and emergency responders, and can help launch businesses that would develop tech defenses to keep our nation safe,” they state.
