In Other News: Space Component Staff Moving to Schriever AFB; Air Force Community Partnership Program Schedules Two Webinars in May

About 140 personnel comprising the Joint Force Space Component staff will move from Vandenberg AFB, Calif., to Schriever AFB, Colo., to be closer to the Joint Force Space Component commander and collocated with the National Space Defense Center, officials announced last week. The move is part of a restructure of Air Force components needed to improve the nation’s space warfighting effectiveness, according to a news release. It will not impact Vandenberg’s primary mission as the nation’s critical West Coast launch facility. … The Air Force Community Partnership Program (AFCP) has scheduled two brownbag sessions for May: How the Air Force is Facing its Encroachment Challenges While Protecting Its Mission (May 1); and Leveraging Intergovernmental Support Agreements in the Air Force (May 16).
