  • Sumter Seeks Consultant to Perform JLUS for Shaw AFB0

    The Sumter City-County Planning Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to prepare and deliver a joint land use study (JLUS) for Shaw Air Force Base and Poinsett Range in the city of Sumter and Sumter County, S.C. The project is funded by DOD’s Office of Economic Adjustment. Interested firms must demonstrate knowledge and experience in community planning, development and land use issues, as well as military installation management and operations.   • Concord Seeks Community Reuse Planning Director0

    The city of Concord, Calif., is recruiting for a director of community reuse planning. This position is the head of the Local Reuse Authority’s reuse office, which is a department of the city. The day-to-day responsibilities for the director include guiding and managing the city’s base reuse project to fruition in a manner consistent with the city’s adopted plans. The director manages a number of contracts with outside consultants and oversees a team of city staff from various departments. This position is required to frequently attend meetings conducted during evening hours and/or on weekends and sometimes has irregular work hours in order to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.   • Monterey Extends Deadline to Respond to RFP for SWOT Analysis0

    The city of Monterey, Calif., is requesting proposals from qualified firms to conduct a comprehensive strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis for Monterey County installations and associated facilities and missions. The installations included in the analysis are: Presidio of Monterey (home to the Defense Language Institute); Naval Support Activity Monterey (home to the Naval Postgraduate School); Fort Hunter Liggett; Camp Roberts; and Ord Military Community. The city has extended the deadline for submitting proposals until March 27 at 5:00 p.m. The RFP is available on the city website.
