DOD Looking for Non-PFAS Firefighting Foam

The Pentagon is researching alternatives to the type of firefighting foam that contains PFAS chemicals and has spent $10 million on the search, Military Times reported.

As On Base reported, researchers are separately testing plasma technology to clean up PFAS contamination.

A DOD task force is scheduled to make recommendations on PFAS-related issues in January.
