House Schedule: NDAA in May, Approps in June

January 9, 2020

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) wants to bring the National Defense Authorization Act to the floor in May and dedicate June to passing as many fiscal year 2021 appropriations bills as possible, he told reporters this week, according to CQ.
House budget leaders have said they may not try to pass a formal budget resolution this year. A two-year deal reached last year established the overall budget levels for the 2021 cycle: $740.5 billion for defense spending and $634.5 billion for nondefense spending.
The administration is expected to release its full budget request Feb. 10.
