In Other News: Intelligence Facility Expansion Could Lead to Growth at Wright-Patterson; Trump to Visit Ft. Drum

Expansion of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson AFB likely will mean an increase in personnel at the facility, reports the Dayton Daily News. The center’s workforce has grown by about 1,500 employees since 2000. The $182 million expansion project, which is included in the fiscal 2019 defense authorization bill, is expected to take two-and-a-half years. … President Trump will travel to Fort Drum, N.Y., on Monday to sign the fiscal 2019 defense authorization bill into law. In a press release, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), chair of the House Armed Services’ Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee, said she was honored Trump had accepted her invitation to visit the post.
