Missile Review Report Calls for Interceptors at Fort Greely

A long-awaited DOD report on missile defense systems lays the groundwork for adding missile defense systems in space. President Trump rolled the report out Thursday with a speech at the Pentagon.

“We will recognize that space is a new warfighting domain,” President Trump said.

The Pentagon will further prioritize technologies to counter those developed by other countries and is adding 20 new ground-based interceptor missiles at Fort Greely, Alaska, already home to 44 interceptors capable of striking down missiles headed for the U.S., according to the review.
