The Senate will soon consider whether to confirm Lt. Gen. Michael Garrett as the next commander of the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM). He was officially nominated last week, according to Military.com.
FORSCOM, headquartered at Fort Bragg, is the largest organization in the Army. It’s currently being run by acting commander Lt. Gen. Laura Richardson.
Garrett leads U.S. Army Central at Shaw Air Force Base. He has also been chief of staff of U.S. Central Command and commanding general of U.S. Army Alaska.
