Trump Order Would Help Communities Fight Vets Suicide

The federal government would provide grants and technical assistance to state and local governments to fight veterans suicide under an order President Trump signed Tuesday and legislation the White House is proposing to Congress.
The President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS Initiative) creates a Cabinet-level task force led by the secretary of veterans affairs to coordinate prevention efforts across the federal government, according to USA Today.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has said about 20 veterans kill themselves each day.
