Fort Polk, La., is in the final phase of a $34 million geothermal installation and energy upgrade effort, a significant milestone backed by Corvias, according to a press release. The energy efficiency upgrade, part of the Military Privatization Initiative (MHPI), includes installing geothermal heat pumps and ENERGY STAR electric and water saving devices that will modernize the installation, save Army funding and benefit military families…
The former Pease Air Force Base, N.H., began operation of a $12.6 million groundwater treatment system last week to remove contamination caused by toxic PFAS chemicals, the Associated Press reported.
