State Seeks Consultant for Analysis of Virginia Military Missions and Installations

As a follow on to a 2013 analysis of military installations in Virginia, the commonwealth is seeking a consultant to conduct a SWOT analysis on nine additional military installations. The important aspects of the analysis will include:

1)      development of an analytical tool to obtain essential, critical information about each Virginia military installation with input from the local installation and community leadership. The tool must include input from national defense resources, military service commands, senior political figures, defense industry experts, and local base and community leadership; and

2)      preparation of an inventory of installation assets of strategic economic interest to the commonwealth to include intellectual capital, capabilities and ongoing relationships with the commonwealth and/or community.

The RFP was released March 28. An optional pre-proposal teleconference will be held April 10 at 2 p.m.; the call-in number will be provided in response to pre-registration emails sent to by 4 p.m. on April 8. Proposals are due by 12 p.m. on April 23.
