The LRA for the former Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove believes it will be able to submit its economic development conveyance application to the Navy by the end of the calendar year.
Matrix Design Group, the redevelopment authority’s consultant, now is working on market analyses, and traffic and environmental studies for the site located outside of Philadelphia, reported the Hatboro-Horsham Patch. When those studies are completed, the firm will work with the LRA’s board on a business plan.
The LRA has not yet been determined whether it will acquire the air station property and act as its master developer or hire a firm to take over that responsibility. A hybrid of those two approaches also is possible, according to Executive Director Mike McGee.
