For a Third Time, Feds to Conduct Sale of Stratford Plant

Following unsuccessful attempts to sell the 78-acre Stratford Army Engine Plant through auctions in 2008 and earlier this year, the General Services Administration (GSA) now will try to sell the Connecticut property through a sealed bidding process.

Bids are scheduled to be opened June 30, according to the GSA website. The two bids the agency received earlier this year were declined because they both fell short of bidding requirements, reports the Connecticut Post.
