Up to four million new customers have access to on-base exchanges and commissaries after a new change in federal law.
Exchanges, commissaries and some recreational facilities are now accessible by disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and VA caregivers.
The change went into effect Jan. 1, marking the largest expansion of commissaries’ and exchanges’ customer base in 60 years.
