Kentucky Seeks Consultants to Assess State’s Cybersecurity, Aerospace Industries

The commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking two economics and analytics consultants to study the cybersecurity, and aerospace, aviation and defense industries in the state.

Each of the studies — made possible through assistance from DOD’s Office of Economic Adjustment — will determine the economic impact of the subject industries and provide recommendations for continued growth at the local, regional and state levels. Additionally, the consultants will make recommendations concerning industry sector opportunities, workforce development, education and enabling legislation, among other requirements.

The aerospace, aviation and defense study requires an interactive, web-based product with mobile-friendly attributes that visualizes the results of each area of interest. It will provide associated supply chain maps, as well as educational centers, and allow for rapid retrieval and download of relevant data, charts, maps and graphs.

The commonwealth released the two RFPs April 8 on the state procurement website. Bid proposals are due May 6 (cybersecurity) and May 12 (aerospace, aviation and defense).
